“Life is a song, sometimes we cry it but mostly we must sing it” – Gunther
(When I was seriously challenged in my life, this is a saying that kept me standing).
Who is Günther Tonitz?
I love to read and have a vast subject list that interests me.
I am a husband, a father and love to spend time with my family. My primary relationship with my wife is precious, as is my relationship with God.
I have been living in the same community for the last 30 years. Being part of the local church and schools, is a privilege and I enjoy my time spent there.
I started working in my father’s business when I was 12 years old, as his travel partner, tool assistant and computer trainer.
This extended to Power Transformers in later years, as his business interests grew. I treasure the valuable lessons and relationships that I experienced with him.
Power Transformers is an extension of my family and community.
Managing people always brings with it certain stress factors.
Having a fun and creative hobby is a good way of getting rid of built-up stress. I meet various and interesting people while pursuing my hobbies.
What do you do in your spare time and what are your hobbies?
I have many hobbies, like motorcycling, gas model car racing, silhouette shooting and light sport aircraft pilot. I also enjoy boating, water sports and Sailing. I have also completed the Double Century Cycle Tour and The Cape Town Argus Cycle Tour.
What qualifications do you have?
I have a National Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) from Cape Technikon. I have also competed various vocational courses.
What is your life goal?
To be the best husband, father and provider for my family and through this serve my community and God.
